Dining Room Design
This is the “after” shot of dining room showing rich vibrant native american reds walls and ruby-melon on the window wall. The window coverings of matching ruby-melon cotton/linen fabric blend to the walls adding texture and dimension while. The window coverings hang on one satin nickel rod with contemporary matching finials’ that coordinate with the hardware on the two Bernhardt furniture “Wilshire” sideboards. The right and left ends mimic each other giving a traditional ‘bookended” look. Each of the walls has a large multi panel bevel mirror, finished in an antiqued satin nickel finish. Two set of four photographs of thistles in orange/rust/gold placed in black scratched silver leaf frames with coordinating filet and hand wrapped india black silk mats surround the mirrors. The foliage within the room reflects back the colors in the thistles.

Floor lamps flank either side of the windows and visually tie back to the three Murray Feiss modern chandeliers at staggered heights, which replaced one light fixture and two ceiling fans. An ox blood geometric sculpted wool area rug grounds the room and sets the stage for the breathtaking century furniture “Omni” collection dinning set with its sweeping base and modern interpretation of a barrow back chairs, this set is made of maple and maple burl. The set did not come in the desired color so it was shipped to us unfinished and we had our local finisher stain it with our signature cherry stain. Art deco influenced stem ware; china and silver were chosen to accentuate the table’s lines.

Not shown are two “Ironwood” orbs one at the base of each floor lamp, a Tibetan temple carving that was lighted from within and two steel works of art, one being a contemporary wall art piece the other a whimsical floor standing juggler.

Lighting scenes were programmed into the lighting control system for function.

Side note: This room has been featured on television.

This was the full color perspective drawing of the above dining room and also represents the type of proposal drawing that is presented to clients of Klint Kettell interiors.

In this case it was for a dining room make over. The drawing shows a century furniture “Omni” dining room set two Bernhardt furniture “Wilshire” sideboards and three Murray Feiss modern chandeliers.

This “before” photo shows how the dining room of this home looked prior to its refurbishing by Klint Kettell interiors.
